Deep Tissue Laser Therapy
Deep Tissue Laser Therapy accelerates your body’s natural healing process through photo-bio-stimulation. Laser therapy is effective in treating chronic conditions, acute conditions, and postsurgical pain. These conditions can include neck pain, muscle spasms, back pain, sciatic pain, and joint pain. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy allows for deeper tissue penetration, resulting in fast, efficient, and consistent results.
Clinical Benefits
- Effective for challenging conditions
- Alternative to surgery
- Fast treatment times, in as little as 4 to 10 minutes
- Easy non-invasive treatment
- Scientifically proven treatment
Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or cold laser, is a painless, sterile, non-invasive, drug-free modality that is used for a variety of conditions, including acute and chronic pain. During a laser treatment, the light will penetrate the skin and is absorbed by a particular receptor within the mitochondria.
Receptor stimulation with light promotes energy production, biochemical reactions, protein and growth factor synthesis, cell growth and proliferation, and enhanced blood and oxygen flow. Increased blood flow reduces inflammation that can cause pain.
For over 20 years, clinicians found that laser therapy treats a variety of conditions including
- Acute and chronic pain
- Arthritis
- Back pain
- Bursitis
- Carpal tunnel
- Fibromyalgia
- Ligament sprains
- Muscle strain
- Soft tissue injuries
- Tendonitis
- Tennis elbow
Many low-level lasers are proven to be effective in reducing and eliminating acute and chronic pain in the neck and shoulders. Many patients find that this solution is a much more effective and immediate alternative to traditional pain medications. Combined with forms of chiropractic and physical therapy, the Erchonia lasers can help patients lead a normal, active, and healthy life without debilitating pain.
Decrease pain and inflammation and increase range of motion
The Erchonia Laser PL5000 Laser is used to enhance tissue recovery, accelerate healing for burns and wounds, and significantly speed up injury healing time. Low-Level Laser Therapy promotes healing in many conditions, including chronic/acute pain, and other joint and neurological conditions.
Erchonia’s lasers made history by becoming the first to receive FDA market clearance for the treatment of chronic pain and increasing range of motion, proven through two double-blind IRB studies. The Erchonia Lasers are the most advanced lasers on the market, with their sleek revolutionary design, patented line generated beam, and the ability to program independent frequencies in all of their family of lasers.
The laser has been found to be extremely beneficial for enhancing and accelerating wound healing and reducing acute inflammation. With over 200 clinical studies—many of which are double-blind, placebo-controlled—and over 2000 published articles on LLLT (low-level laser therapy), this innovative technology has a well-documented research and application history.
Having grown far beyond its distant Institutional Review Board (IRB) and experimental treatment status, LLLT is now considered a therapy of choice for severe pain management challenges such as fibromyalgia and myofascial pain.
Does the laser hurt or have any side effects during or after the procedure?
No, there are no side effects associated with laser therapy. You will just experience a gentle warming sensation.
At the beginning of your care plan, we recommend that you come in 2-3 times a week and then, hopefully, never!
It can be for certain areas of the body, such as the shoulder and back. It would be determined individually.
